Wow…there is a lot going on with this site.  I could spend quite a while on here.  While I was exploring I realized that the different categories are helpful and when you click on them they give you main topics.  I particularly like that questions can be posted about particular topics and one can just easily reply with the answer or add another question to it.  I found out some useful information about windows updates and outages.  It is nice to find sites other than google and yahoo that have a lot of information that you need and that you can easily respond to.

I really don’t understand how this particular site is that useful.  Unless you are really interested in another site and cared to see how many other people have added it, it doesn’t seem like it is something that a normal web user would need.  It does save a bunch of sites that a particular group is interested in but for myself I don’t think it is something I would use on a regular basis.

Rollyo February 28, 2008

I didn’t think that this exercise would be very helpful, however after making a Rollyo account and exploring it I realized that it is a useful too.  I decided to make a fun search and chose the category as entertainment.  I added a few sites that I like to go on for fun and later one I will find more to add.  It was really neat when searching for a person because the links for the newest youtube video or gossip about that celebrity were easily found.  It is going to be fun finding more sites to put in the account.

Librarything February 26, 2008

Librarything is such an easy website to use.  This assignment has been one of my favorites.  I couldn’t believe how easy it was to add the books.  I could spend a lot more time adding titles but I just added a few that I have recently read.  I do look forward to exploring the site more and other reviews.  I would recommend this site to those who have a hard time remembering what they have read, so many patrons think that we keep a record for them, this site is easy for anyone to do!

Wow!  I finally got done with this exercise.  I admit it did take me a while to figure it out, I set up an account that I apparently didn’t need.  I do want to thank Omar from San Lorenzo for helping me out on this one.  Thanks Omar I owe you one!

I do hope that I can keep up with everything that I have signed up for.  It does seem like bloglines will allow me to be more organized with the information that I want to be updated with.  I like the fact that the feeds allow me to have everything I want in one place, I don’t have to navagate away from page after page.

Flexible Computer Screen January 10, 2008

Researchers at the University of Cambridge in England have developed a computer screen that can be rolled up and carried anywhere one would like.  It is made out of metal that has been treated to allow it to roll up and still have its original strength and function once it is unrolled.  There are already keyboards that can roll up; in no time at all there will be computers that will be carried around in pockets and paper thin.

Flickr Applications January 10, 2008

While exploring flickr I found that there were many interesting applications that I could spend hours using.  One that I am probably going to use is the card maker.  I just need to upload my own photos and make it unique.

The ferry in the background is a type that I have never seen in California, they carry people and cars very a very reasonable price between various islands around the Puget Sound. The land in the background is Whidbey Island. I visited Whidbey Island over the summer and drove from the southern end to the northern end. There are many fields, valleys, woods, and cities. Much of the island is untouched and very scenic.

Winter Break December 22, 2007

I am a part time graduate student in the Bay Area, slowly obtaining a MS in Statistics.  I would like to find a part time job that has to do with Statistics so that I can continue to work at the library which I enjoy a lot.  I feel very lucky to be able to work for the library and I also am very lucky to have wonderful coworkers.  Just recently I learned a new knitting skill from one of my coworkers and I try to pass on my knowledge and be helpful to those around me.  My mini goal for winter break is to become more familiar with a software program called R.  Happy Holidays!
